How we grade cameras
Every item is hand-checked, photographed and graded to one of five condition levels. Here's exactly what each grade means for cameras.
Like New
Indistinguishable from new.
Looks unused. No marks anywhere on the body, screen, viewfinder or sensor. All accessories present, original box where applicable.
Excellent
Lightly used, no marks of note.
Very gentle use. Body, screen and viewfinder are clean with at most very minor marks invisible from arm's length. Sensor clean. Fully functional.
Good
Visibly used but solid.
Honest cosmetic wear consistent with regular use - small marks, light scuffs or paint loss. Sensor clean. All functions tested and working.
Well Used
Heavily used, fully working.
Significant cosmetic wear - scuffs, dings, paint loss. Everything works as it should. A great pick for a working tool.
Faulty
Sold for parts or repair.
Has a defined fault listed in the condition notes. Sold as-is for parts or repair. Not covered by our warranty.
