How does shipping work?

We arrange a prepaid, fully insured shipping label.

Just pack your camera or accessories in a box with lots of protection and attach your free shipping label. Your package can be dropped off at thousands of drop off points around the country.

We also offer free returns if you change your mind for any reason at all.

Can I include more than one quote in the same box?

Yes absolutely, you can include multiple quotes in the same box providing you clearly label all the quote numbers on or inside the package.

I can't find the item I want to sell?

No worries, simply press the 'add manually for staff review' button and type in the exact brand and model. Our team will manually review and get back to you with a valuation within 24 hours.

What should I include with my item?

Please include all original manufacture accessories as standard. Once you have selected your camera model, you'll be able to see the essential accessories we expect under the 'essential accessories to include tab'.

If you don't have any of these don't worry! Just send what you can and our team will adjust your offer accordingly once it arrives.

Are there any fees?

Nope, we charge zero fees to sell on our platform. The amount you get offered is the exact amount you will receive in your bank, once it has been tested.

Even shipping is completely free, whether you are sending your camera in or have changed your mind and would like your device returned, shipping is on us.

Which condition should I choose?

Accepted Answer

We have 5 condition categories, all devices should be judged on their cosmetic condition and be fully-functional. If they have any faults they should go under our faulty condition to be recycled or repaired.

If you are unsure you can use our 'Condition guide' when selling, your best guess is fine! If there are any issues we will send a revised offer once the device arrives.

We place customer satisfaction above all and do our very best to grade every single item so you know exactly what your getting and the condition its in.

Unlike many electronic refurbishers, every item is photographed individually and comes with a 1 year warranty, so there are no surprises.

How do I make a return?

We offer returns within 14-days of delivery for any reason at all, providing it has not been used and comes with all of the accessories. You can start a return by finding your order under your account (located at the top right of our website).

If you ordered as a guest you will need to set up your account using the same email you made the order with.

Once approved you'll have 14 days to ship the device back to us. Returns are at the buyers expense.

What is covered under your the SDS warranty?

Please read our full warranty terms to see everything covered and not covered under our warranty.

However to summarise, most mechanical issues that arise within 1 Year of the sale date are covered under our warranty. Accidental damage, items sold as 'Faulty', and consumables such as batteries are not covered by our warranty.

What if my device arrives faulty?

We do our very best to check that every device we sell is fully-functional without issues. However, on rare occasions devices can get damaged in shipping or have an obscure issue with doesn't show up with standard tests.

First we encourage you to ask our team under the 'Contact Us' link, for help troubleshooting the issue as often it can be a simple fix. However if this does not work it's no issue, you are welcome to return for a repair, replacement, or refund depending on availability of parts.

Can I collect my order?

Unfortunately not, we are strictly an online store. All orders can be shipped to any valid address within the UK.

We also offer next day delivery if ordered on a weekday before 4pm if you are in a hurry.

We strictly do not accept offers on any of our listings, however all our prices are regularly reviewed to stay competitive with the current market.

What shipping methods do you offer?

For sellers we offer free DPD drop off labels.

For buyers we offer free Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping on all orders regardless of the value. We also offer the option to upgrade to Royal Mail Tracked 24 for next day delivery to most of the United Kingdom.

What is the cut off time for next day delivery?

Orders placed before 4pm Monday to Friday are eligible for next day delivery, this can be added at checkout for a small fee.

Does SDS ship internationally?

We no longer offer international shipping, all orders can be sent within the United Kingdom only. This is to make sure we continue to provide the best experience to our customers.

If there is an item you really want you can use a forwarding service to have it shipped overseas, however return postage would be at the buyers expense. We have plans to expand internationally in the future, so keep an eye on this space!

Do you use recyclable materials?

Yes, we are currently reducing our use of one time use plastics, with the aim of getting to zero in the near future. We encourage our customers to recycle all packaging your order came in to help the planet!

We recycle 99% of our warehouses waste and are committed to doing our bit for the envirmoment.

Why is a condition greyed-out?

If a condition is greyed-out and not clickable we do not currently have an offer for this item in that condition. We may have not yet added it to our database or are not buying it.

You can attempt to get a manual quote for it by pressing the 'Add manually for staff review' button.

Can I get a VAT receipt?

Yes, you can download a receipt for all orders under your account (located at the top right of our website). Simply go to your order > View Details > Download VAT Receipt (top right).
