Voigtländer Color-Skopar 35mm f/2.8 VM - Leica M mount
Voigtländer Color-Skopar 35mm f/2.8 VM is a compact Leica M-mount prime lens with a classic 35mm field of view. It is known for its small size, light weight and straightforward manual handling, making it a popular choice for rangefinder users who want a discreet everyday lens. The f/2.8 maximum aperture is modest by modern standards, but it helps keep the lens slim and contributes to the restrained, well-balanced feel on an M body. The optical character is typically associated with good sharpness for general street, travel and documentary work, with the 35mm focal length sitting neatly between wider environmental framing and a natural perspective. As a VM lens, it is intended for Leica M rangefinder cameras and compatible mirrorless bodies via suitable adapters. On the used market, check that the focusing action is smooth, the aperture ring clicks positively, and the optics are free from haze, fungus, separation and excessive cleaning marks; also inspect the mount for wear and confirm any included caps or hood fit correctly.
