Voigtländer Color-Skopar 28mm f/2.8 Aspherical VM Type II - Leica M mount
Voigtländer Color-Skopar 28mm f/2.8 Aspherical VM Type II is a compact Leica M-mount prime with a fast-enough f/2.8 aperture. This manual-focus wide-angle lens is valued for its small size, light weight and straightforward handling, making it a practical everyday option for rangefinder users who want a discreet 28mm without the bulk of faster designs. The Type II version is the later, more compact variant of the VM Color-Skopar 28mm f/2.8 Aspherical line, and it suits film M bodies as well as digital Leica M cameras and compatible rangefinder mounts via adapters. Its aspherical optical design helps control aberrations while keeping the barrel compact, and the 28mm focal length is a versatile choice for street, travel and documentary work. Used buyers should check smooth focus action, clean aperture blades, front and rear element condition, filter thread wear, signs of haze or fungus, and that the rangefinder cam and mount engage correctly.
