Voigtländer APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 Aspherical VM - Leica M mount
Voigtländer APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 Aspherical VM is a manual-focus prime lens for Leica M-mount rangefinders. Its apochromatic optical design and aspherical element aim for very high sharpness with excellent control of colour fringing, distortion and field curvature, making it a strong choice for street, documentary and general everyday work where a compact 35mm view is valued. The all-metal VM construction gives it a solid, traditional feel, and the optical rendering is typically crisp across most of the frame even on high-resolution digital M bodies. As a manual lens it depends on the camera’s rangefinder or live view, so it suits photographers who are comfortable focusing carefully and want deliberate control rather than automation. Used buyers should check smoothness and evenness of the focus helicoid, aperture ring clicks, front and rear element condition, dust, haze or fungus, and any wear or damage to the M-mount bayonet and coupling surfaces.
