Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 65mm f/2 Aspherical - Sony E mount
Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 65mm f/2 Aspherical Sony E is a manual-focus full-frame macro lens with a bright f/2 aperture. It sits in Voigtländer’s premium APO-Lanthar range, aimed at photographers who want very high sharpness, low chromatic aberration and a solid all-metal feel rather than autofocus convenience. The 65mm focal length gives a natural perspective for close-up work, product photography and general use, while the 1:2 macro capability and 31 cm minimum focus distance make it versatile beyond simple detail shots. On Sony bodies it offers electronic communication for metering and EXIF, but focus remains fully manual, so it suits users comfortable with precision focusing and focus peaking. The lens is relatively substantial for its class, with a 67 mm filter thread and a weight that reflects its complex optical construction. Used buyers should check the focus action for smoothness, inspect the front and rear elements for haze, scratches or fungus, and make sure the aperture ring and electronic contacts are functioning cleanly.
