Leica Q2 Ghost Edition

The Leica Q2 Ghost Edition is a technical and aesthetic variation of the standard Q2, designed in collaboration with Hodinkee. It features a unique light grey paint finish and a grey cowhide leather wrap, intended to evoke the look of a 'faded' vintage watch bezel. Internally, it shares the 47.3-megapixel full-frame sensor and 28mm f/1.7 Summilux lens found in the original Q2, providing high-resolution imagery and 4K video capabilities within a weather-sealed body. Second-hand examples should be checked for wear to the grey paint finish, which can show marks more readily than the standard black version. SDS inspects the leatherette for peeling and ensures the lens barrel moves smoothly through its focus and macro ranges. The sensor is checked for hot pixels, and the leaf shutter is tested across all speeds to ensure consistent exposure.
