Leica CM

The Leica CM is a high-end 35mm film compact camera, often considered the successor to the Minilux. It features a fixed Summarit 40mm f/2.4 lens, renowned for its optical quality and slightly wider-than-normal perspective. The camera is constructed with a titanium body and provides a bright viewfinder with parallax correction marks, alongside manual aperture control and a hot shoe for SF-24D flashes. Like its zoom counterpart, the CM is susceptible to the 'E02' shutter cable fault, which is the primary concern for used buyers. Ensure the lens extends and retracts without hesitation and that the top-plate LCD is fully legible. SDS examines the film transport mechanism and ensures the light seals are intact. The leather trim can lose adhesion over time, so check for any lifting around the grip areas.
