Leica Q2 Reporter Edition

The Leica Q2 Reporter Edition is built for durability in demanding environments, featuring an 'armoured' Kevlar cladding instead of traditional leather. Over time, UV light exposure changes the colour of the Kevlar from a dark green to a tone closer to the body's olive-drab paint. It retains the standard Q2 specifications, including the 47.3-megapixel sensor and weather sealing, but lacks the red Leica dot to maintain a low profile for documentary work. When assessing a used Reporter Edition, the Kevlar wrap should be checked for fraying at the edges, and the matte finish for heavy scuffing. SDS performs a full diagnostic on the electronic viewfinder and the touch-sensitive rear LCD. As with all Q-series cameras, the fixed lens is checked for mechanical smoothness and the presence of internal debris that might affect image quality at narrow apertures.
