As an aging mechanical camera, the slow shutter speeds (1/15th and below) often become inaccurate due to dried lubricants. The CdS light meter requires a battery to function, and the cell chamber should be checked for corrosion. SDS checks the shutter curtains for pinholes, verifies the accuracy of the timing, and ensures the mirror dampener foam is in good condition.
