Canon AT-1
A manual-exposure 35mm SLR camera utilizing the Canon FD lens mount.
The Canon AT-1 is a 35mm SLR film camera introduced in 1976, closely related to the popular AE-1 but featuring manual-only exposure metering. It uses the Canon FD lens mount and a horizontal-travel cloth focal-plane shutter with speeds ranging from 1 to 1/1000 second. The needle-match metering system provides a straightforward method for manual exposure, powered by a 4LR44 battery.
Check the shutter for the characteristic 'Canon squeak', a high-pitched sound caused by dry lubricants in the mirror damping mechanism. The light seals and mirror bumper foam often degrade over time and may require replacement to prevent light leaks. SDS verifies the accuracy of the light meter and ensures the battery compartment is free from leaks.
