Designed for APS-C E-mount cameras, this ultra-wide-angle zoom features an internal power zoom (PZ) mechanism. It is exceptionally lightweight and maintains its physical length during zooming, making it ideal for vloggers and gimbal users. As a G-series lens, it includes dual linear motors for fast AF, a customisable focus hold button, and an AF/MF switch. It offers an equivalent focal length of 15-30mm. We test the power zoom lever for smooth, variable-speed operation and ensure the internal zoom mechanism is silent. Since it is a modern, electronically-controlled lens, we verify all electronic communications with the camera body. We check the front element for scratches, as ultra-wide lenses often have exposed glass, and SDS ensures the lens mount is tight and free from play.
