A professional-grade f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens for mirrorless systems, featuring dual linear motors and optical stabilisation.
Part of the Sports line, this telephoto zoom is designed for full-frame mirrorless systems. It features a dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) motor for rapid autofocus and an updated OS2 optical stabilisation algorithm. The lens is dust and splash-resistant, featuring a multi-material construction of magnesium, carbon fibre reinforced plastic, and thermally stable composite. It includes a physical aperture ring and customisable AFL buttons.
When buying used, test the OS switches and the click/de-click mechanism on the aperture ring. The lens barrel should be free from significant impact damage that might affect weather sealing. SDS ensures the dual linear motors are functioning correctly and that the tripod socket, which is Arca-Swiss compatible, shows no signs of cross-threading or excessive wear. All switches should provide positive tactile feedback.
