Nikon F-601M

The Nikon F-601M (known as the N6000 in North America) is a manual-focus variant of the F-601 autofocus SLR. It retains the advanced metering system of its sibling, including matrix, centre-weighted, and spot metering, but lacks the autofocus motor and built-in flash. It is an excellent choice for students or purists who prefer manual focus lenses but require accurate electronic exposure control and motorised film handling. Pay close attention to the rear door latch, which is a known weak point on this series and can become brittle. The top LCD should be checked for leakage, and the battery door must be inspected for intact tabs.
