It features Nikon’s Pulse Motor (AF-P) technology, providing fast and near-silent autofocus, which is particularly beneficial for video recording. The optical design includes an Extra-low Dispersion (ED) element to control chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range. This specific 'G' version does not feature Vibration Reduction (VR).
Compatibility is a key consideration for this lens; it only works with relatively modern Nikon bodies (typically D3300/D5300/D7100 and later). Older DSLRs may not be able to focus the lens at all.
