The Nikon AF Nikkor 35-80mm f/4-5.6D is a lightweight, compact standard zoom lens for Nikon F-mount SLRs. It covers the most common focal lengths from wide-angle to short telephoto. As a 'D' type lens, it transmits distance information to the camera for more accurate flash metering. It features a plastic mount to reduce weight, making it an unobtrusive 'walk-around' lens for film photographers or users of full-frame DSLRs with an internal focus motor.
