Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D - Nikon F Mount

The AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D is a compact, wide-angle prime lens for Nikon F-mount cameras. It features Nikon’s Close-Range Correction (CRC) system, which ensures high performance at both near and far focusing distances. Its small size makes it an excellent choice for street photography, landscapes, and travel. As a 'D' series lens, it transmits distance information to the camera for more accurate flash metering and includes a manual aperture ring. Inspect the lens for oil on the aperture blades, a known issue that can cause sticky movement and overexposure. SDS checks the mechanical autofocus coupling for wear and ensures the CRC system moves smoothly internally. The lens barrel is well-constructed, but the focus ring should be tested for any play or looseness. On modern entry-level DSLRs lacking a focus motor, this lens will only function in manual focus mode.
