Nikon AF DC-Nikkor 135mm f/2D - Nikon F Mount

The AF DC-Nikkor 135mm f/2D is a unique telephoto lens featuring Nikon's Defocus Image Control (DC) technology. This allows the photographer to change the character of the foreground or background bokeh by rotating a dedicated ring on the lens barrel. It is built to a high standard with a 'crinkle' finish metal exterior and features a fast f/2 maximum aperture and a built-in retractable hood. It is primarily used as a specialist portrait lens on F-mount cameras. Due to the complexity of the Defocus Control mechanism, we ensure the DC ring moves smoothly and clicks into the neutral position correctly. SDS checks the autofocus, which is driven by the camera's internal motor, for accuracy and speed. We also look for oil on the aperture blades and check the built-in hood for secure extension. The optics are thoroughly inspected for haze, which can sometimes appear in older D-series lenses, particularly around the rear groups.
