Minolta P's

The Minolta P's (also known as the Riva Panorama) is a dedicated 35mm panoramic compact camera. It features a fixed-focus 24mm f/4.5 lens that provides a wide field of view, cropped internally to a 13x36mm panoramic format on standard 35mm film. Its ultra-slim profile and simple operation make it a niche tool for architectural and landscape photography where a wide aspect ratio is desired without a heavy kit. The internal masking is fixed, so the camera cannot take standard 3x2 frames. When purchasing, ensure the motorized film advance is smooth and the flash fires consistently. The 24mm lens is susceptible to scratching if the protective cover has been damaged, so inspect the glass carefully. We also check the light seals, though the simple design of the film door makes these more durable than those on older SLRs.
