Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH. - Leica M-mount

This lens is a modern reissue of the legendary 1966 Noctilux, designed to replicate the unique aesthetic of the original while utilising contemporary glass. It features two large aspherical surfaces and a relatively compact design for a f/1.2 optic. The lens is renowned for its characteristic 'glow' and soft bokeh when shot wide open, transitioning to high sharpness as the aperture is closed. It serves as a specialised tool for low-light photography and shallow depth-of-field portraiture. Second-hand examples should be carefully checked for focus accuracy, as depth of field is extremely narrow at f/1.2. SDS inspects the internal elements for any signs of haze or 'schneideritis' (edge blackening degradation), though this is less common on modern reissues. The barrel should be free from significant impact marks, and the aperture blades must be free of oil. We also ensure the included lens hood attaches securely and the 6-bit coding is intact.
