The HERO+ sits in the entry-level range, offering 1080p video at 60fps and 8-megapixel photos. A key feature of this model is the inclusion of built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing for remote control and playback via the GoPro mobile app. Like the standard 2014 HERO, it is built directly into a rugged, waterproof housing rated to 40 metres. It provides a straightforward user experience for those requiring higher frame rates than the base model.
As the HERO+ is fixed within its housing, inspect the exterior for impact damage or compromising cracks. The lens port must be clear of scratches to ensure image quality. We check the internal battery's performance and the reliability of the Wi-Fi connection. Ensure the rear door seal is clean and free from sand or grit, as this is the only way to access the charging port and microSD slot while maintaining water resistance.
