Designed to resolve the highest resolution sensors in the Fujifilm X-series, it features a fast f/1.4 aperture and a linear motor for near-instantaneous, silent focusing. The lens is fully weather-sealed and includes a locking position on the aperture ring to prevent accidental changes during use. Used copies should be checked for the smoothness of the linear motor; when the lens is powered off, a slight rattle is normal as the magnets disengage. SDS inspects the weather seals and the locking mechanism on the aperture ring. Given its wide aperture and complex optical formula, ensure there is no evidence of decentring by checking corner-to-corner sharpness. The barrel should be free of dents that could impact the internal focus group.
