The Canon RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM is a long-reach super-telephoto zoom designed for wildlife and sports photographers. It features 5.5 stops of optical image stabilisation, increasing to 7.5 stops with coordinated IBIS. The lens uses a Nano USM motor for fast AF and is compatible with RF 1.4x and 2x extenders. It is weather-sealed and features a zoom adjustment ring to change the torque of the zoom mechanism.
Check the zoom mechanism for consistent resistance across the entire 200-800mm range. Ensure the tripod foot is secure and the optical stabilisation engages without jerking.
