Canon EOS 620
An advanced early EOS 35mm SLR with a 1/4000 shutter speed and robust build.
The Canon EOS 620 was a high-end consumer 35mm SLR and one of the earliest models in the EOS system. It features a fast 1/4000 top shutter speed and 1/250 flash sync, making it more capable than the base EOS 650. The camera includes multiple exposure modes, a top-plate LCD, and a robust build quality intended for serious enthusiasts transitiong to autofocus technology.
The primary concern with the EOS 620 is the shutter bumper degradation, which results in a sticky black substance on the shutter blades. This will eventually cause the shutter to stick or exposures to fail. SDS also checks for 'BC Error' messages, which can indicate internal circuit issues or battery power delivery problems. The internal lithium battery for memory retention may also require replacement if settings are not saved.
