The Canon EOS 10 (also known as the EOS 10S) is a feature-rich 35mm SLR that introduced a 3-point autofocus system and a unique barcode reader for programming scene modes. It offers a fast 5 frames-per-second motor drive, multiple metering patterns, and a built-in intervalometer. It is a highly capable enthusiast camera that bridges the gap between early AF models and the more advanced digital-era film bodies.
Check the shutter curtains for the common oil/goo residue caused by bumper breakdown. The rubberised grip can sometimes become sticky or 'tacky' over time due to chemical changes in the plastic. SDS tests the multi-point AF system for accuracy and ensures the built-in flash and film transport operate quietly. The top LCD should be clear of any 'leaking' black fluid around the edges.
