The EOS 300V (known as the Rebel Ti in North America) is a lightweight, compact 35mm film SLR. It features a high-speed 7-point autofocus system and a large illuminated LCD panel on the rear, rather than the top. With a maximum shutter speed of 1/2000 second and compatibility with all EF mount lenses, it is an excellent choice for students or those moving from digital to film.
The metallic-finish plastic body can show scratches easily, but the primary mechanical concern is the film door latch, which is plastic and can snap if forced. SDS checks the AF motor linkage and the integrity of the light seals, though these are generally more durable than older models. Ensure the battery compartment for the two CR2 batteries is clean and the LCD display is free from bleed.
