The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F55E is a compact digital camera released in the late 1990s, notable for its distinctive rotating lens unit. It features a 2.1-megapixel CCD sensor and a fixed focal length 37mm equivalent Carl Zeiss Distagon lens. The swivelling design allows the lens to rotate 180 degrees for easier self-portraits or high-angle shooting. It stores images on Memory Stick media and includes a built-in flash and a small LCD for framing. Used DSC-F55E units should be checked carefully for the physical integrity of the rotating hinge, as internal ribbon cables can fatigue over time.
