The Samyang VDSLR 35mm T1.5 MK2 is an updated version of the popular cine prime, featuring weather sealing and a nine-blade aperture for improved bokeh characteristics. Designed for full-frame coverage, it retains the unified gear positions and T-stop scales of the VDSLR line. The MK2 version also includes a focal length scale on both sides of the barrel to assist camera assistants.
Used MK2 models should be checked to ensure the weather-sealing gaskets at the mount are intact and not perished. SDS examines the geared rings for even torque and checks that the nine aperture blades are correctly aligned and free of oil. As these are often used in demanding production environments, we pay close attention to the lens mount and front element for any signs of heavy professional wear or impact.
