The Samyang 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC is a manual-focus tilt-shift lens designed for architectural and landscape photography. It offers +/- 8.5 degrees of tilt and +/- 12mm of shift, allowing for perspective correction and selective focus control. The tilt and shift mechanisms can be rotated independently, providing significant creative flexibility for correcting converging verticals in building shots.
When purchasing used, the mechanical locks and dials for the tilt and shift functions must be inspected for smoothness and tension. We check that the movements do not 'creep' when the lens is angled. SDS also verifies the condition of the rotation release levers and ensures the optical axis remains centred when the lens is set to its neutral position.
