Ricoh Singlex TLS

The Ricoh Singlex TLS is a heavy-duty, mechanical 35mm SLR using the M42 screw mount. Manufactured in the 1960s and 70s, it is renowned for its all-metal construction and reliability. It features a Copal Square metal focal-plane shutter and a stop-down TTL metering system. Because it uses the M42 mount, it is compatible with a vast array of vintage Takumar, Zeiss, and Pentacon lenses. The primary concern with the Singlex TLS is the light meter, which originally used mercury batteries; a modern silver-oxide equivalent or adjustment may be required. The mechanical shutter is generally very durable, but slow speeds can become sluggish if the lubricants have dried out. SDS inspects the mirror return mechanism and ensures the M42 thread is undamaged and allows for smooth lens mounting.
