A 12-megapixel rugged compact camera that is waterproof and shockproof.
The Olympus Tough 3000 (also known as the TG-310 in some regions) is a 12-megapixel rugged digital camera. It is waterproof to 3 metres, shockproof to 1.5 metres, and freezeproof. It features a 3.6x wide optical zoom (28-102mm equivalent) and 720p HD video recording. The camera includes Dual Image Stabilisation to help reduce blur in difficult shooting conditions or underwater.
As with all Tough series cameras, the condition of the seals is the most important factor for used units. SDS checks the battery/card door and the DC-in cover for any signs of sand or salt crystals that could compromise the waterproof rating. We also verify that the anti-reflective coating on the rear LCD is intact, as this can often peel or scratch with heavy outdoor use.
