Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter
Nikon FTZ II is a Nikon lens adapter for Z-mount cameras, supporting F-mount lenses without a tripod foot. Released in 2021, it is the slimmer second-generation FTZ adapter, designed to make adapted shooting a little less bulky and more comfortable when using many Nikon F-mount lenses on Z bodies. In practice it preserves the handling and compatibility that made the original FTZ popular, including autofocus and electronic aperture control with supported lenses, while removing the fixed tripod mount found on the first version. That makes it better suited to everyday use, especially with lighter lenses or when camera-body support is preferred. Build quality is solid and the adapter feels well matched to Nikon Z cameras, with a weather-sealed design intended to keep the mount interface dependable in normal field use. As with any used adapter, check both bayonet mounts for wear, verify electronic communication with a known lens and body, and inspect the contacts for damage or corrosion. If buying second-hand, also confirm there is no play in the mount and that the release buttons and locking action operate smoothly.
