Konica Hexanon AR 50mm f/1.8 - Minolta SR/MD/MC

Konica Hexanon AR 50mm f/1.8 is a manual-focus standard prime lens for Konica Autoreflex AR cameras. It offers the classic 50mm perspective with a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, making it a small, straightforward lens for general shooting, available-light work and adapted use today. The Hexanon AR 50/1.8 is valued for its compact handling, solid all-metal feel and the character associated with Konica’s later AR-series lenses, which typically deliver good central sharpness and pleasing colour when stopped down a little. As a normal lens, it suits street, documentary, travel and everyday photography, and on digital bodies via adaptation it can be a simple, affordable way to get a fast standard prime. The exact optical formula varies by version, but this is a fully manual lens with no autofocus or stabilisation. When buying used, check that the aperture blades are clean and snappy, the focusing ring turns smoothly without stiffness, the glass is free from haze, fungus, scratches or balsam separation, and the AR mount shows no wear or damage.
