Konica Hexanon AR 35mm f/2.8 - Konica AR
Konica Hexanon AR 35mm f/2.8 is a manual-focus wide-angle prime for Konica AR SLR cameras. It is a compact, metal-built lens from Konica’s classic Hexanon line, offering a natural wide view that suits street, travel and general documentary use without the bulk of faster 35mm options. The f/2.8 maximum aperture is modest by modern standards, but it keeps the lens small and typically makes it easier to carry on an adapted mirrorless body today. Like most well-regarded vintage Konica lenses, handling is straightforward: a smooth focus ring, click-stopped aperture and simple optical formula aimed at good central sharpness and pleasing colour. Exact optical performance varies with sample condition, but these lenses are commonly valued for their solid mechanical feel and balanced rendering rather than extreme edge performance wide open. For the used market, check for smooth focusing, clean aperture blades, visible haze, fungus, scratches and oil on the diaphragm, and make sure the mount is not heavily worn or damaged.
