Cosina MC Cosinon-T 135mm f/3.5 - M42
Cosina MC Cosinon-T 135mm f/3.5 is a manual-focus M42 prime lens. This compact telephoto was built for straightforward, affordable shooting on classic screw-mount film cameras and, with an adapter, on modern digital bodies. At 135mm it gives a useful portrait and short-telephoto perspective, and the f/3.5 maximum aperture keeps the lens relatively small while offering enough subject isolation for general use. The multi-coated Cosinon-T branding suggests a lens designed to control flare better than very early single-coated designs, but performance will still depend on sample condition and stopping down. Handling is typically simple and direct, with manual aperture and focus only, making it suitable for photographers who value a traditional tactile experience rather than automation. Exact release year and weight are not reliably documented for this exact variant, so they are omitted. When buying used, check that the focus ring turns smoothly, the aperture blades are clean and snappy, and the optics are free from haze, fungus, separation and excessive coating wear; also inspect the M42 mount threads for damage and confirm there is no oil on the aperture blades.
