The Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 85mm T1.5 Super Speed is a professional cinema lens designed to cover full-frame sensors. Part of the Super Speed range, it offers a wider maximum aperture than the standard CP.2 line, providing improved low-light performance and shallower depth of field. It features industry-standard gearing for follow-focus systems and a 14-blade iris for consistent, circular bokeh.
Inspect the focus and aperture gears for any signs of chipped teeth or uneven resistance. As a cinema lens, the internal mechanics should remain silent during operation. SDS tests the smoothness of the focus throw and checks that the interchangeable mount system is securely seated and properly calibrated for flange distance.
