Yashica Yashica-Mat

The Yashica-Mat was the first in Yashica's line of crank-advance 6x6 TLR cameras. It uses 120 film and features a four-element 80mm lens, providing a sharp central image with pleasant rendering. The camera is fully mechanical, requiring no batteries, and offers a range of shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/500th. It is a robust entry point into medium format photography. Check that the crank advance feels positive and that the shutter fires only after a full stroke. SDS inspects the taking lens for scratches and internal fogging, which are common in older optics. We also verify the alignment of the front standard and the condition of the light seals. The internal baffles are checked to ensure they are secure and not causing flare or obstruction.
