Tokina AT-X 124 AF Pro DX II 12-24mm f/4 - Canon EF-S
Tokina AT-X 124 AF Pro DX II 12-24mm f/4 is a Canon EF-S wide-angle zoom for APS-C DSLRs. It has a constant f/4 aperture, autofocus, and a 12-24mm range that makes it useful for landscapes, interiors and architecture, while the DX-only design means it is not intended for full-frame bodies. Tokina’s Pro-series build is typically solid and confidence-inspiring, with a practical 77mm filter thread and a compact enough size for everyday carry. Optical performance is generally strongest in the centre, with the expected ultra-wide compromises at the edges and some distortion at the wide end. As with most lenses in this class, corner quality improves when stopped down, and careful shooting helps keep flare and ghosting under control. For used-market checks, make sure the zoom action is smooth, autofocus engages consistently, the aperture blades are clean and snappy, and the front and rear elements are free from haze, fungus, scratches and impact marks; also inspect the mount for wear and any sign of looseness or abuse.
