Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro - Sony A
Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro is an APS-C superzoom lens with a huge 18-250mm range. Designed as an all-in-one travel lens, it gives broad wide-angle coverage at the short end and strong telephoto reach at the long end, while keeping the body compact enough for everyday use. Autofocus is built in, but like most Tamron superzooms of this era it is better suited to convenience than speed, so it is a practical choice for casual shooting, holiday use and general walk-around work rather than action or low-light specialists. Image quality is typically strongest in the middle of the range, with more modest corners and softer performance at the extremes, especially when used wide open. The lens uses a 62mm filter thread and focuses down to 0.45m, with the Macro label indicating close-up capability rather than true 1:1 reproduction. On the used market, check that autofocus runs smoothly, the zoom action is not loose or stiff, the front and rear elements are free from haze or fungus, and the mount shows no excessive wear.
