Sony HVL-F45RM
Sony HVL-F45RM is a Sony TTL speedlight with GN45 output and radio wireless control. It sits above Sony’s smaller shoe-mount flashes as a more capable on-camera or off-camera unit, with bounce-ready tilt and swivel, high-speed sync, and support for Sony ADI/TTL metering on compatible cameras. The flash is compact enough for event work and travel, yet powerful enough for portraits, fill light and small-product lighting when used on-camera or paired with wireless triggers in Sony’s system. Four AA batteries make it easy to power in the field, but battery quality has a noticeable effect on recycle times, so good NiMH cells are worth using. As a used purchase, check the hot shoe foot and locking mechanism for wear, confirm the tilt and swivel joints hold position, and test the buttons, display and wireless communication. Also inspect the flash tube, battery compartment contacts and the battery door for damage or corrosion, and make sure the head moves smoothly without excessive looseness. A clean diffuser and intact contact pins are good signs of careful ownership.
