Sirui Aurora 85mm f/1.4 AF - Sony E
Sirui Aurora 85mm f/1.4 AF Sony E is a fast full-frame prime lens for portrait and low-light work. It sits in Sirui’s Aurora autofocus line as a relatively compact, modern 85mm option with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field and subject isolation. On Sony E bodies it should appeal to users who want a classic portrait focal length without moving up to heavier, more expensive native alternatives. As with most 85mm f/1.4 lenses, the real strengths are smooth background blur, flattering perspective and strong subject separation, while careful focusing is important at close distances because depth of field is very thin wide open. The lens mount is Sony E, and the lens is an autofocus prime with a reported weight of 540 g, making it easier to carry than many traditional 85mm f/1.4 designs. When buying used, check autofocus accuracy across the frame, smoothness of the focus ring, front and rear element condition, dust or haze inside the optics, and any play or wear at the mount.
