Samyang XP 14mm f/2.4 - Canon EF Mount

The Samyang XP 14mm f/2.4 is a premium manual-focus ultra-wide prime designed for high-resolution full-frame DSLRs. Part of the 'Expert' series, it is engineered to resolve over 50 megapixels and 8K video requirements. It features a complex optical design with aspherical, refractive, and extra-low dispersion elements to minimise distortion and flare, housed in a robust aluminium alloy casing with a smooth, rubberised focus ring. When inspecting a used XP 14mm, the focus ring is the critical component; it should move with heavy, precise damping. SDS checks the rear electronic contacts, which allow for aperture control and EXIF data transmission on Canon EF bodies. We also examine the integrated petal-shaped hood for any impact damage and ensure the large bulbous front element is free from coating marks, as these cannot be protected by standard filters.
