The Pentax X-5 is a bridge digital camera designed to offer a DSLR-like handling experience with a fixed, high-magnification lens. It features a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 26x optical zoom lens, covering a focal range equivalent to 22.3mm to 580mm. The camera includes a tiltable LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder (EVF), powered by four AA batteries, which simplifies power management during travel.
Verify the condition of the AA battery terminals for any signs of corrosion. The zoom motor should be tested for smooth operation across the full 26x range, and the tilting mechanism of the screen should be firm.
