Pentax SMC Takumar 200mm f/4 - M42 Mount

The SMC Takumar 200mm f/4 is a classic M42 screw-mount telephoto lens, prized for its excellent build quality and the renowned Super-Multi-Coating which helps manage flare and improve contrast. Despite its long focal length, the lens remains relatively slender and manageable. It is widely used today via adapters on modern mirrorless systems for its distinct rendering and mechanical precision. Check for the smoothness of the long focus throw; if the grease has hardened, the lens can become difficult to focus accurately.
