The Lumix DMC-LX1 is a compact digital camera notable for being one of the first to feature a native 16:9 aspect ratio CCD sensor. It offers 8.4 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens, starting at a wide-angle 28mm equivalent. It includes full manual controls, RAW image support, and Mega O.I.S. optical image stabilisation, making it a capable pocket camera for landscape and architectural photography.
When purchasing a used LX1, check the sensor for dead pixels, which can be more prevalent in older CCD units. Inspect the lens for smooth extension and retraction, as well as any dust behind the front element.
