The Fujifilm MX-700 is a landmark compact digital camera from 1998, featuring a 1.5-megapixel CCD sensor. Encased in a distinctive upright metal body, it was one of the first truly pocketable high-resolution digital cameras of its time. It uses SmartMedia cards for storage and features a fixed focal length lens equivalent to 35mm, offering a very specific retro digital look characterised by early Fujifilm colour processing.
Due to its age, the proprietary NP-80 battery often requires replacement; SDS checks that the internal charging circuitry is still functional. The metal body is prone to scratches, and the small rear LCD can suffer from 'screen burn' or fading. Ensure the SmartMedia card slot is clear of debris.
