Canon EOS D30
A landmark 3.1-megapixel digital SLR featuring a CMOS sensor and compatibility with Canon EF lenses.
The Canon EOS D30, released in 2000, was Canon's first DSLR designed and manufactured entirely in-house. It features a 3.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, an EF lens mount, and a 3-point autofocus system. While low in resolution by modern standards, it is noted for its smooth, film-like image quality and compatibility with the vast range of Canon EF lenses.
On the used market, the rubberised grip on the D30 often becomes sticky or degrades; we check for this 'tackiness' during inspection. The shutter assembly is tested for consistency, as high-mileage units may show signs of lag. We also verify the pins in the CF card slot and ensure the rear LCD and top status panel are fully functional without dead pixels or bleeding.
