It was the first DSLR to offer internal 4K video recording (4096 x 2160) at 24p and includes Canon Log Gamma for expanded dynamic range. With an 18.1-megapixel sensor, it remains a robust hybrid tool for professional stills and high-end video, benefiting from the extensive range of EF-mount lenses.
Used units often have high shutter counts or extensive video runtime. SDS checks for sensor marks and ensures the internal cooling management is functioning correctly during sustained video recording. The dual CF card slots and all terminal ports, particularly the HDMI and headphone jacks, are inspected for wear. The rubber grip panels should be checked for peeling, a common occurrence on heavily used professional bodies.
