Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye is a full-frame autofocus fisheye prime with a bright f/2.8 aperture. This classic EF lens gives a 180° diagonal view on 35mm and full-frame EOS bodies, with the distinctive curved perspective and strong close-up emphasis that make fisheyes useful for action, interiors, creative portraits and experimental work. It is relatively compact and light for a specialist wide lens, and the autofocus drive makes it easier to use than many manual fisheye alternatives, though the unusual field of view still rewards careful composition. Optical character is unapologetically fisheye rather than rectilinear: straight lines bend hard away from the frame centre, while centre sharpness and stopped-down performance are usually more important than edge perfection. There is no image stabilisation and no weather sealing, and the lens is designed for EOS film and full-frame use rather than crop-camera normalisation. On the used market, check autofocus operation, aperture blade response, front-element scratches, internal haze or fungus, and wear to the mount and rear gel filter holder.
